Monterosa Summer Yoga and Guided Tours

Yoga surrounded by beautiful mountains, at the foothills of Monte Rosa, on the shore of Brusson’s lake
– Wednesday evening: Hatha Yoga
– Friday evening: Yin & Yang Yoga: a blissful blend between an initial dynamic flow followed by relaxation and stillness (Yin Yoga or Yoga Nidra).
All yoga classes are suitable and accessible to all level yogis.
Yoga-trekking and Shinrin Yoku (a Japanese meditation, also known as forest bathing)

An entire day of profound regeneration and connection with the own self and nature.
We will hike and practice yoga and meditation in stunning valleys, surrounded by majestic peaks and immersed in wild forests. A real retreat for mountain lovers seeking for an amazing refreshing and restoring experience!
Tour ‘The eight mountains’
Unforgettable guided hikes on the paths and most breathtaking places of the movie ‘The Eight Mountains’. We will be accompanied by the mule Margherita (famous actress of the movie) who will carry a delicious packed lunch, prepared with love by ‘Il pranzo di Babette’, a typical and cozy restaurant, also appearing in the same movie.
You can be assured you’ll bring back home some of your best pics and memories!

Meet the Locals: Alain Campaci and his High Altitude Restaurant
Alain Campaci runs a beautiful restaurant, Rifugio Guide Frachey, with breathtaking alpine views at 2060 m altitude. His “Bunet”, a Piemontese dessert, is the best we at tchambre.com have ever tasted.
1-Alain, what attracted you to live in the mountains?
At around the age of 30 I tried skiing, I became passionate about this sport, then I moved into a house here in the valley at Crest and I kept it even in the summer and in the end, when I closed my plumbing company and I separated I decided to come and live here.
2-What are the three things you love most about Val D’Ayas?
The clean air, the nature and mountain sports.
3-I know you are an excellent cook who knows how to select excellent local ingredients; among all these products, which local product should a tourist absolutely try?
Definitely the local cheeses and also the seasonal vegetables (potatoes and onions in particular).
4-I hope it is very far away in your lifetime, but there was a very famous French chef in London, Michel Roux Snr, and once they asked him what he would eat as a last supper before dying. He also has a chef son called Alain. So Alain, what would you eat as a last supper before going to heaven and meeting our creator with a smile on your face?
I actually feel the lure of the sea and beautiful coastlines… so I would say seafood and shellfish.
5-What physical activity do you love to do the most in Val d’Ayas?
Trekking and Alpine Skiing
6-What is the most beautiful panoramic view of Val D’Ayas for you?
I would say from the Rifugio I run, Rifugio Guide Frachey, because I love this place and it has now become my home, but my favorite landscape is from the “palon di tzere” with the view of the Monterosa glaciers.
